We have 3 rolls of this material that were spooled onto the reels the wrong way, resulting in a few minor kinks in the material. It doesn't affect how the ribbon works, you just need to flatten the kinks as you roll it out.
This consists of an 8mm wide flexible plastic/metal composite ribbon that has superbright cool white LEDs soldered to it every 16.67mm, for a total of 300 LEDs per 5 metre roll. They are connected as groups of three in series with a tiny surface mount resistor, and the ribbon can simply be cut with scissors to the desired length. This material has a white coloured PCB instead of the coppery coloured PCB of my other ribbon. It has double sided tape on the back of the ribbon for mounting to a flat surface.
The ribbon is designed to run from 12 volts DC, each 3-LED section is a separate 12 volt light strip, so you can cut it up into sections and each section still runs from 12 volt DC.
