5mm twin chip infrared LED

They are unusual in that they have 2 chips, not one, which are connected in series, and they produce two spots of infrared energy.

These LEDs were originally made for use in Zenith remote controls and have a diffused gray-blue lens. Leads might be slightly tarnished. Great for hundreds of infrared applications.

Note: the light these LEDs emit is completely invisible to the human eye, so do not look directly into them as they can still cause eye damage, even if you can't see the light!
