Strobing Purple/Orange/Green 3 colour ribbon LED

These amazing LEDs contain purple, orange and green chips and an on-board controller that flashes through a range of colours so fast that the LEDs look like a fast flickering white LED. However, wave them around and you magically see ribbons of colour due to persistence of vision, as in the photo.

These are a standard 5mm LED package and can be treated as a standard 5mm LED. Max Vf is 6 volts, and while you should use them with a resistor, it is recommended to keep the supply voltage below 6 volts.
