Button batteries
Restrictions apply to items marked with this label as it uses button/coin cell batteries:
- Button batteries can cause severe or fatal injuries within two hours if swallowed or inserted anywhere into the body
- If you suspect that a button battery has been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body you must seek medical help immediately
- Any device sold by LEDsales that contains or uses button batteries has been tested by LEDsales to meet the requirements set out in Australian legislation in 2022 for button/coin cell batteries

Environmental policy
LEDsales has a policy of discouraging practices that are environmentally damaging. This includes the use of LEDs in throw-away tasks such a LED throwies, disposable balloon lights and the like. LEDsales will not knowingly supply LEDs for such uses.
LEDsales uses antistatic component bags to supply LEDs for protection of the devices. While we used to use biodegradable cellulose cellophane bags, the unreliable quality of those bags meant we had to move away from them.
Our packaging materials are biodegradable where possible, and we reuse packaging from orders we receive from suppliers in customer orders to extend the life of those packaging materials. We highly encourage customers to reuse and recycle packaging materials from LEDsales orders as far as possible.
Payment terms
Payments for purchase orders from
approved entities are strictly net 14 days. For all other orders, payment by credit card (via Paypal), or a direct deposit is required with order prior to shipment of goods.
Orders that are not paid for at the time they are placed will be cancelled if payment or contact from the buyer has not been received within 2 days. Orders that are then subsequently paid for will of course be reinstated and filled once payment has cleared.
Prices
Quoted prices will be firm for a period of 14 days. Webshop prices are in Australian dollars and are subject to change without notice. No GST is included as LEDsales is not registered into the GST system (see below).
Minimum order value
There is a $10 minimum order value to ensure orders are worthwhile for us to process, as well as for customers, given Australia Post's fairly high shipping costs.
GST
LEDsales is currently not registered into the GST system as annual turnover is less than $75,000.
Title of goods
Title of the goods shall only pass to the buyer following full payment of the invoiced amount.
Insurance
Shipping insurance is currently not available. However, for high value orders we normally add shipping insurance at our cost.
Freight on returns
If an item proves to have been defective at the time of purchase, LEDsales will pay for the freight of any replacement item. The buyer accepts liability for freight costs incurred in the return of warranty repair or where goods are being returned for a refund for other reasons.
Warranty
We always work with customers to enable the best outcome. Should you have any problems with your order, please
contact us immediately so that we can rectify the problem. Discrete LEDs, components and surplus items generally have no warranty as LEDsales has no control over how they are used. However, should any item arrive DOA, we will replace it at our discretion. Manufacturer's warranty (normally 3-12 months) applies for other items.
Back orders
This webshop utilises active stock control. Back-ordering of goods for orders made via the webshop should not be necessary.
Custom orders
LEDsales provides a custom order service. We can order in most LEDs and devices and can also provide PCB design and manufacture for small or large runs (component limits apply). Quantity discounts are also available for larger orders. Please
contact us if you have a special order requirement.
Customer cancellation of an order
Orders may be cancelled within 30 minutes of the order being placed. Goods will be held until confirmation of the order is received.
LEDsales cancellation of an order
LEDsales reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason that we deem makes it necessary to do so, including, but not limited to, stock unavailability, webshop errors, pricing errors, and orders from customers that don't meet the LEDsales standard of ethics, such as animal abuse industries. If a cancelled order has already been paid for, a full refund will be issued as soon as possible.
Returning goods
Goods returned for credit will not be accepted without prior authorisation. Claims will not be recognised unless made within seven (7) days of delivery. Credit will only be provided for the cost of the goods, the original postage cannot be refunded on goods returned for reasons other than defective merchandise, such as change of mind by the customer.
