This fantastic LED driver kit was developed by The LED Artist (www.theledart.com)

The driver is fully pic microcontroller controlled and can operate in both boost-buck and boost only mode, allowing you to drive strings of LEDs with a higher forward voltage than your power supply voltage.

The driver features an on-board dimmer control as well as four selectable current outputs of 350mA, 700mA, 1000mA and 1400mA (approx) using the two control buttons. Once the current has been selected it is stored in non-volatile memory so that the driver always starts with the current selected previously. The driver can even be controlled by Sony remote controls!

We will be supplying the kit with the micro already programmed, but with the appropriate programmer you can play with the program and customise the driver yourself.

• IR remote receiver controllable via Sony IR remote control
• Digitally controlled dimming via external microcontroller including Arduino
• Master/slave gang dimming - connect multiple units together and control the dimming from any one of the units
• High frequency pulse drive - 32kHz to 175kHz - no flicker even in video!
