Congatec 70mm x 65mm CPU heatsink

These are nice little heatsinks that measure 70mm x 65mm x 16mm (20mm at its thickest). They are ideal for cooling power LEDs up to 10 watts or more.

They are designed originally as an Atom CPU heatsink for use on Congatec conga-QA3 embedded processor boards, but can be used for LED cooling or other cooling tasks with a bit of DIY.

The heatsink has a heat spreader/spacer block in the middle that is attached to the heatsink by double-sided thermal tape. A quick twist of this spreader block will remove it, leaving the thermal tape intact and ready for you to stick a power LED to.

Made of bronze coloured anodised aluminium. Comes complete with some mounting hardware, though that may not be of use for LED work.
