5mm 220V AC blue LED

These LEDs have a pair of superbright LED chips connected in reverse parallel and a 220,000 ohm internal resistor to limit LED current to 1mA to limit power dissipation to safe levels.

They are ideal where you need an indicator that runs directly from any voltage up to 220V AC (240V AC maximum), without needing to worry about current limiting etc. You really can connect these directly to a 220V (or 110V at reduced brightness) power source. These also work fine with DC power supplies, like those used in nixie clocks etc.

Warning! You must be experienced working with mains or other high voltages when using these!
