Bare square PCB for 9 superflux or 5mm LEDs

These are bare double sided PCBs designed to take 9 superflux LEDs or 5mm/3mm LEDs. They are fibreglass board, not cheap phenolic resin, and have a white printed overlay and are tinned both sides. They measure around 35mm square.

The LEDs are configured as three strings of three LEDs and so are ideal for driving from 12 volt power supplies. The boards will take resistors up to standard half watt size.

These boards are double sided and have a positive perimeter bus around one side and a negative bus around the other. They are designed to be tiled and can simply be soldered together on both sides to make larger circuit boards. Because each board has buses of both polarity completely circling the board, you just need to feed in power anywhere on the board array and all boards will be powered.

You can make boards of any shape that can be made with square tiles. Use them to make LED lightbars, large light panels, even letters and other characters for large signs!

The design also incorporates plenty of copper for each LED, to help dissipate heat, so your LEDs will run cool. However, because of this, soldering may take a few seconds per LED, so we recommend that you use our 3mm LED spacers with these boards when using 3mm or 5mm LEDs, to reduce the heat stress on the LEDs.
