Dual mode temperature controller module

These great little modules are very easy to use, you just set the start and stop temperatures using the buttons and the module does the rest. They can be used to control both heating and cooling systems and feature a 10A onboard relay.

Heating mode
If the start temperature is set below the stop temperature then the module will operate in heating mode and will turn on a heater whenever the measured temperature (the centre display) falls below the start temperature. When the measured temperature rises above the stop temperature, the relay switches off.

Cooling mode
If the start temperature is set higher than the stop temperature then the module will operate its relay whenever the measured temperature exceeds the start temperature. The relay will drop out when the measured temperature falls below the stop temperature.

The module operates from 12V DC (it works fine at voltages as low as 9V) and has simple screw terminal connectors. It measures 50 x 78mm and the thermistor is on an unpluggable flying lead. Operating temperature range is -9 to 99°C in 1°C increments.

We highly recommend that you use this module's relay to switch a larger, more robust relay, both for relay longevity and to isolate mains power completely from the temperature module.
