Adjustable output 1 amp 78 series equiv switchmode regulator

These are a direct replacement for the popular 78 series linear regulators. Unlike a 78 series regulators, these are a switchmode device and generate very little heat when running, so they can be used in places where a heat generating linear regulator can't.

Input voltage range is 4.8 to 40 volts DC and output voltage is adjustable from 0.9 to 30V. Output current is 1 amp maximum.

They measure 10.4mm x 15mm (excluding pins) x 8mm, around the same size as a 78 series regulator!

We have tested these, and at 10V in and 5V, 0.7A out, they run luke warm, so are a capable little regulator. However, they need good filtering of their input supply, we highly recommend fitting a 100uF low ESR or tantalum capacitor across the input, as close to the regulator as possible, to prevent instability (just like you do with a 78 series regulator).
