Simple LED torch kit

These nice little kits use a few components to make a simple LED torch that is powered by a single AAA battery (rechargeables work fine).

The LED is driven by a YX8115 LED driver IC, which boosts the voltage from the battery to 3V or so to drive the LED.

Included on the PCB is a small prototyping area, to let you do some practice soldering before you make the kit, and the kit takes around 15 minutes to build. These would be ideal as classroom projects or a simple starter project to do with the kids.

Note that 4 resistors are supplied with the kit, only one is needed, take your pick, they all work, but the 47 ohm is the recommended unit.

Instructions are not supplied in the kit as it is pretty much self explanatory from the images, just get the LED and IC the right way around and you should be fine.
