Tiny touch switch modules with dimming and LED indicators

These little modules measure 15 x 20mm and have a complete touch switch controller as well as a 10A MOSFET (FS8205A), so they can control loads of several amps directly.

The blue LED is the standby LED, the red LED is the load LED. A short touch turns the load on fully, another touch turns it off. The LEDs shine through a hole in the PCB, so they are visible from the touch surface on the back of the PCB.

These switches also have variable dimming, with memory:
From an off state, touch and hold until the appropriate dimming level has been reached and then release. The output will stay at that dimming level.
Another touch will turn the load off.
Touch again and the load will be turned on to the previous level.
To reset, just touch and hold to dim it all the way back down.
The module will remember the dimming level so long as power is not interrupted to the module.

Power supply is 5 to 20V DC (12V recommended), with reverse polarity protection on the module. Maximum current is 10A, 3A recommended. We tested these units dimming a 50W, 12V halogen lamp and they handled it easily without getting hot at all. Output is open drain, so you connect your load between V+ and the module's output terminal.

Maximum sensitivity is 6mm, so these can be fitted behind plastic or glass.
