12V output 1 amp 78 series equiv switchmode regulator

These are a direct replacement for the popular 7812 linear regulators. Unlike a 7812, these are a switchmode device and generate very little heat when running, so they can be used in places where a heat generating linear regulator can't.

Input voltage range is 14 to 40 volts DC and output voltage is a fixed 12V. Output current is 1 amp maximum.

They measure 18.3mm x 10.2mm x 6.7mm (excluding pins).

We recommend that you provide filtering of their input supply, such as a 100uF low ESR or tantalum capacitor across the input, as close to the regulator as possible, to prevent instability (just like you do with a 7812 regulator).
